US coronavirus death toll surges to 175,087

Shawdesh desk: United States has reported 175,087 coronavirus deaths and 3,011,577 recoveries from 5,656,204 cases at 2:20 pm till Wednesday (GMT 08:20am), according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, the number of active cases are 2,469,540.

Among the active cases, 16,966 patients are in critical condition, the source said.

With the fresh cases on 5-day, 240,538 cases have been detected from coronavirus while 168,373patients have been considered recovered, and 4,672 people died in the country

In US, New York has reported 32,857 deaths with 52 new fatalities on five-day, according to Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

Among other corona affected city in US, New Jersey has reported 15,925 deaths, followed by California with 11,504, Texas 10,678, Florida 9,758, Michigan 6,608, Georgia 4,794, Arizona 4,529,Virginia 2,396, Mississippi 2,127, and Washington DC 1,808 respectively till date, JHU reported.
